Day 14 - Traveling Home & Final Thoughts

Albania is a beautiful country, mostly mountainous, very fertile, and rich in opportunities for cultural, nature, and adventurous exploration. We found the people to be warm and generous and eager to share their history and heritage with us. While the shadow of the communist era is present, Albania is forward-looking and hopeful for a better future for generations to come. There was construction everywhere, and the roads were in good condition! It’s a wonderful place to visit!

And of course the time with my mom and her (and now my) friend Karin was precious and treasured.
